Welcome Team Leaders, this is the start of your journey to become a WadoKai Worcester Instructor. There are many things you will need to complete and be confident in before moving on to the next stage, what I must stress to you is that this is not a race, but about becoming the best instructor you can be in order to be the best instructor to others. So lets get started!

Just like you did to get this position, you will be required to earn yourself stars through your Team Leader record book. Unlike before you will need to gain all the stars to move on.

HOW DO I EARN THESE?
​
You can earn all of these through the following responsibilities you will have as a Team Leader:
Taking sections of warm ups and cool downs, following the assistant coaches instructions and help them implement their lesson effectively, making corrections to students your helping to coach.

WARM UPS/COOL DOWNS- By taking sections with confidence and with an upbeat attitude you could easily earn ROLE MODEL & POSITIVE ATTITUDE, you would also be expected to come up with some different warm up ideas of your own to keep members on their toes and engaged earning you CREATIVITY & RESOURCEFUL.

FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS- By helping the assistant instructor and following their lead you could earn RESPECTFUL & ETIQUETTE, depending on your attitude you may also have extra opportunities of earning ROLE MODEL & POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

MAKING CORRECTIONS- By coaching others you may earn KNOWLEDGE & HELPING OTHERS

LEARNING/TEACHING STYLES

Another set of stars you will be expected to earn are those that belong to learning styles, in other words understanding different types of learning and teaching styles, how to coach these different style of learners.

You can earn these through helping to coach other students, attending the team leader course and completing the Team Leader tests.
