So on that note its time to talk about our other incredible athletes of the day;
Alfie Spooner
Although he didnt medal this time, he has stood out among his coaches and peers for his sheer hard work and unbeliveable results- the speed at which this young man has improved is astounding! Winning his first round 3-0 and making his way to the National quarter finals is an outstanding achievement. He really did the squad proud!

Beth Gromski
Again Beth is another student who has come on leaps and bounds in the last few months and was exceedinly unlucky not to medal today, narrowly losing at the quarter final stages across a couple of events. But, this is just a learn curve for Beth and no doubt she will be winning some medals later this year.

Harry Wilson
Sensei David was exceedinly pleased with Harry's performances, losing by 1 flag to the overall winner in the quarter finals. It was ashame that the draw lead to this result rather than the two best meeting in the final. But to win that means you must be better than everyone in the category no the round, and Harry has learned to keep pushing hard and results will come.
Chris Bonham
Last performer of the day- performing at 6pm! Winning his first round 3-0 taking him to the quarter finals of the Veterans category. Unfortuntely that was the end of his event there, losing 0-3 however this is a huge improvement from last year, we look forward to seeing the improvements for next year pay off!
