OUR SAFEGUARDING STAFF

At WadoKai Worcester we understand there maybe times that a parent/student may want to talk to someone for help, guidance or voicing a concern. We want to make this process as stress free and transparent as possible. Our dedicated safeguarding team are available to you whenever you should need, they will aim to respond to any queries in a timely manner and know that they are here to support you.

SAFEGUARDING &

PROTECTING CHILDREN & ADULTS

While this resource is specifically focused on safeguarding and protecting children and young people in sport, the principles of best practice is also applied to all participants (including venerable adults) who should equally be assured a safe and enjoyable experience. 

All coaches and Safeguarding Leads are fully up to date on this guide.

POLICY

Photography of members of WadoKai Worcester or associated events is subject to the Data Protection Act 1998 regarding the rights of individuals to have information of a personal nature treated in an appropriate manner and the Human Rights Act 1998, protecting the privacy of individuals and families. As well as these statutory rights, restrictions on photography arise from issues of child protection.

WadoKai Worcester staff always ensure that everyone who wishes to will have equal opportunity to participate in the sport at all levels and in all roles, whether as a beginner, athlete, elite athlete, or as a coach, manager, employee, administrator or official.

POLICY

When in breach of any of the policies WadoKai Worcester members of staff will deal with the situation accordingly, However if there is something that you spot within the club it is important to make sure staff are made aware in order for investigations to be dealt with properly.

CODE OF CONDUCT

POLICY

The following information is for athletes and parents, detailing what is required of the students of WadoKai Worcester Karate in terms of rules to be observed and behaviour that is acceptable. This Code of Conduct is based upon self-discipline, good behaviour both in and out of the Dojo, smart appearance, punctuality, respect and consideration for others, their property, politeness, good manners, honesty and tolerance. These values apply equally to all karate events, whether they are domestic or International events

CHILD PROTECTION
POLICY

Adopting best practice will help to safeguard those participants from potential abuse as well as protecting coaches and other adults in positions of responsibility from any potential allegation of abuse. This document is binding and provides procedures and guidance to everyone within WadoKai Worcester Karate, whether working in a voluntary or professional capacity.
