TAI NO IDO- BODY SHIFTING

JODAN UKE, GYAKUZUKI-         Step outside ways to avoid an attack, perform a Jodan uke whilst still looking forward, then twist the hips back to front facing to perform the gyakuzuki, twist back to the sideways position.

KHION WAZA- BASIC TECHNIQUES

​KETTE JUNZUKI-                        Front kick followed by punch to stomach height in zenkutzudatchi

MAWATTE SOTO UKE (SHOMEN)- Turn and perform a outer block in a Shomen Neko Ashi Datchi

KETTE GYAKUZUKI-                   Front kick followed by opposite punch to stomach height in zenkutzudatchi

1/4 ROTATIONS-                         Turn in a Shomen Neko Ashi Datchi stance (be sure to turn on ball of foot)

KATA-

PINAN NIDAN

PINAN SHODAN

1/2 PINAN SANDAN

The third Wado Kata consisting of 11 moves, student would be required to remember the sequence by themselves with little to no help. May have support if SEN required.

KUMITE WAZA- FIGHTING TECHNIQUES

All of the following techniques are to be performed in the stance HAMAE GAMAE- Fighting stance

GEDAN UKE, GYAKUZUKI-      Move sideways and perform a gedan parry and twist back gyakuzuki

KIZAMI, GYAKUZUKI, TSUGI ASHI MAWASHIGERI JODAN- Front hand jab, opposite punch, step up & kick to head height with front foot.

KIZAMI, GYAKUZUKI JODAN AYUMI ASHI- Front hand jab followed by an opposite punch to the head, step through and keep hands up for defense.

 

KUMITE- Fighting drills & sparring

KUMITE DRILLS- 1, 2, 3 & 4

3. Kizami, Gyakuzuki - Attacker performs a Kizami followed by a gyakuzuki towards the defender. 

                              Defender parry (uchi uke) followed by a gedan uke to defend both the punches and performs a gyakuzuki to opponents stomach

4. Mawashigeri- Attacker performs a mawashigeri towards the defender's back

                        Defender catches the kick by looping arm under the incoming attack, grab hold of opponent and step behind the attackers standing foot.

KUMITE- Sparring against opponent for 1 minute
