SOTO UKE, GYAKUZUKI (TRADITIONAL VERSION)- Sit into Shomen Neko Ashi Datchi, perform outer block and a short opposite punch

SOTO UKE, GYAKUZUKI (KATA VERSION)- 1/4 Rotation into Shomen, performing an outer block and gyakuzuki

KHION WAZA- BASIC TECHNIQUES

GEDAN JUJI UKE-                                 Lower Cross Block

JODAN JUJI UKE, UDE UKE, OI ZUKI- Upper Cross Block, Forearm block, punch on the spot

JUNZUKI, MAWATTE GEDAN BARAI, RISING TETSUI- Step forward punch, backwards turn performing a lower block in shikodatchi, standing up and hitting with a side of fist strike to rib height. 

GODAN JUMP-                                       Jumps as per the kata

KATA-

PINAN SHODAN

PINAN SANDAN

PINAN YONDAN

PINAN GODAN

The fifth Wado Kata consisting of 21 moves, student would be required to remember the sequence by themselves with little to no help. May have support if SEN required.

KUMITE WAZA- FIGHTING TECHNIQUES

All of the following techniques are to be performed in the stance HAMAE GAMAE- Fighting stance

GYAKUZUKI JODAN, AYUMI ASHI GYAKUZUKI JODAN, AYUMI ASHI GYAKUZUKI CHUDAN- Opposite punch to the head, step through, opposite punch to the head, step through opposite punch to stomach height

GYAKUZKI CHUDAN, KIZAMI-      Opposite punch to stomach height, Front hand jab

 

KUMITE- Fighting drills & sparring

KUMITE DRILLS- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8

KUMITE- Sparring against opponent for 1 minute 30 seconds
