Sempai Freya Bonham
I first started karate with Wadokai Worcester in March 2019, along with my dad. I made friends straight away and was loving every lesson. After a little while, I started entering competitions, starting with a friendly club competition in Worcester, which I loved. I soon decided I wanted to try to build up my skills so that I could enter more competitions. More recently, I wanted to start coaching and have loved the experience of helping others have as much fun as I do. I want to continue entering lots of competitions in the future (maybe even some more internationally!) and I hope to keep improving my skills and helping others to improve theirs.
Sempai Freya began her karate journey with WadoKai Worcester in March 2019, Freya's love and passion for karate is undeniable coming to classes 4 times a week training 6 hours regularly. Freya's commitment to karate is something we can all aspire to making her a great inspiration to others!
Freya's determination has paid off, getting her selected into the county team and winning plenty of medals along the way: North East open 2022 Champion, EWSKA silver Medalist, East Midlands Open Kobudo Bronze Medalist.
Sempai Freya has been awarded the position of Team Leader with WadoKai Worcester where she helps teach every Tuesday evening at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre, a confident young team leader and we look forward to seeing how far she will go!
