My Story

I started karate at another club as my brother wanted to and I didn’t want to be missing out, especially after having to give up archery and hockey. He didn’t take to it but I kept going and soon enough I was training 5+ times a week and started competing. When I got my black belt at 14, I felt I hadn’t really earned it and the club had stopped competing so I moved clubs and it reignited my love for karate. I hope to go to more international competitions and potentially medal at one if I can!

George started karate at the age of 8 at a different school but decided to join us in 2019 in order to compete and get the specialist training he was looking for. Later that year he was selected to represent England at the Federation of Wado-Kai Europe for the European Championships.

George is now currently studying at University but comes back as often as he can in order to keep up with his training and is looking forward to future competitions and results!
