Sensei Katrina Wilson
I started karate at the age of 7 and it was the best decision I ever made. Karate has changed my life and given me so many unique opportunities, helping to grow my confidence as a child to competing as a full international and now I want to help other students and give them better experiences than myself!
Sensei Katrina started karate in the year 2000, after spending a few years working on her gradings she began competing and won at her first competition. Travelling to Japan in 2005 with the Wadokai England Squad for the Japanese Nationals and World Championships. Every year she was selected by England squads to enter in to the European Championships winning in every age category between 2004-2019 making her a 16 time European Champion as well as competing in India in 2019 and becoming the Asian Cup Champion.
In 2010 she travelled back to Japan to once again enter the Japanese Nationals and the World Championships. This was the year she became a World Champion.
Katrina's hard word was recognised by the Worcestershire and Herefordshire Sports Awards and received Young Female Sports Personality of the Year for 2009 & 2010.
Katrina now wants to focus on her members and giving them all the opportunities she had and more, she is WadoKai Worcesters Chief Instructor, Worcester Karate Squads head coach and weapons instructor.
